What is the difference between § and & codes?

§ is the legacy section-sign code. & can work in many server or plugin inputs that convert ampersands to section signs; other targets may display either character literally.

Why did the code not change my text?

The target may not support legacy formatting codes, or it may expect a different format. Version, server, plugin, and text-field support can differ, so test in the exact destination.

Does this run locally?

Yes. Formatting, previewing, and copying run in your browser; this tool does not send your source text to a conversion service.

What is the difference between this and Enchanting Table Language?
